Fixed Penalty Notice

Fixed Penalty Notices are issued on private land where a vehicle is parked in breach of the Terms & Conditions of Use of the car park/site. There is a standard charge for a fixed penatly notice, however other prices can be incurred as per terms of the site.

All our prices are clearly marked on all our signs throughout all of our sites.

ANPR

ANPR (Automatic Number Plate recognition) is the latest development in the automation of parking control and revenue gathering. Cameras record the arrival of vehicles and record the registration details. This information can be used to charge vehicles for the period of use or for enforcement purposes.

ANPR systems scan images for registration plates. How this information is applied depends on the policy adopted. We have considerable experience in installing and operating the latest ANPR technology, both to generate income and prevent unauthorized use of facilities.

Example
Implementation of ANPR technology for a client at a large business park with separate visitor/staff parking. Captured vehicle registration details are compared to a list of authorised staff vehicles on the system. Appropriate enforcement action is taken.

Wheel clamping & Vehicle Towing

Wheel clamping has proven to be an effective deterrent against persistent offenders’ unauthorised parking on private land. Clamping, however, inconveniences those whose cars are immobilised and therefore has limited appeal to private landowners who may not want this method to be used on their site as standard. It certainly has a role in areas where collection of Parking Charge Notices monies proves problematic or in the case of repeat offenders.

In the event of a vehicle being clamped, a notice is fixed to the offending vehicle explaining:

  •  Why the vehicle has been clamped. 
  •  That the vehicle has been immobilised and should not be moved under any circumstances.
  •  That the wheel clamp must not be tampered with. 
  •  The procedure for getting the clamp released. 
  •  Method of Payment i.e.: All major credit cards are accepted. 
  •  After payment we aim to release the vehicle within 30 minutes.

Wheel Clamp Units operate from branded vehicles, are uniformed and carry photo ID. A vehicle that is immobilised is photographed to create a record of the breach and this can be used as evidence if required. Once the recipient calls our Control Centre and agrees a method of payment, an operator is dispatched to remove the clamp as soon as possible. Operators are trained to keep in mind the serious nature of using wheel clamps and handle all matters responsibly and courteously. They will provide details of our appeal procedures and give a receipt.
